Tri-Tip Beef Dry Rub & Roast
Recipe
This is enough for one roast (approx. 3 lb. roast)
Preparation time. About 10 minutes
Ingredients
2.25 teaspoons ground black pepper
1.5 teaspoons table salt
.75 teaspoons granulated white sugar
.75 teaspoons onion powder
.5 teaspoons mustard powder
.5 teaspoons garlic powder
.5 teaspoons chili or ancho powder
.25 teaspoon chipotle or cayenne powder
Do this
1) Mix the ingredients together in a bowl.
2) Lightly oil the meat with vegetable oil.
Serve with Penne Pasta Salad, Dinner Salad, & Grilled Bread. Reserve the juices for dipping!
WIne paring – Syrah (Shriza), or Cabernet.
Spread the rub generously on beef brisket, not so thick on other, thinner cuts.
3) Cook meat Santa Maria style (low and slow).
